About the Workshop //

Philanthropy plays a central role in the non-profit sector, but have you ever paused to think: Who is a donor? This practical workshop will bring order to the chaos by clarifying the different categories of donors and what they need from us in the civil society sector. It’s a lifeline workshop for anyone who has ever felt like they’re drowning in a sea of potential funding partners—or simply wants to learn how to swim.

Workshop Structure: A blend of practical learning and information sharing. We will explore various donor types and examine the uniqueness of each. In small groups, we will characterize, research, practice, and draft a tailored request for a specific donor.
